Chemo Scarf

easy tie alopecia headscarf
Alice design Chemo Scarf

I designed the chemo headscarf to flatter every face. It is cut in 3 panels which gives extra height above the face. I find most of my ladies turn back the front panel to give more height but it can also be pushed back flat to give more of a bandanna type effect. It has a small elasticated section at the back but also has a flattering tie – belt & braces!

This is the style for anyone who wants to wear a pretty headscarf but doesn’t want to have the hassle of learning to tie a square one, and it is completely secure on your head, alleviating the worry that a regular headscarf might slip or blow away. It looks great worn under a straw hat in the summer and the ties at the back create an illusion of hair. This style can be put on and tied in seconds and can be taken on & off already tied if you are post operative & raising your hands to fiddle with headscarves isn’t so easy. It is the ultimate easy tie headscarf for anyone undergoing chemo or suffering from alopecia or any other female medical hair loss issues.

I have named this chemotherapy headscarf style, Alice after a lovely young lady who worked very hard at putting together the range with me. It is definitely our most popular style and as such I offer it in a variety of fabrics to take you through the seasons. For summer the Liberty tana lawn is 100% cotton & will keep you 100% cool. I haven’t lined this style so it is like wearing a soft 100% cotton blouse on your head. This Liberty cotton washes & gets softer & softer with wear. There is a wonderful & ever changing selection of prints which look lovely with jeans & a T shirt. For winter the Liberty cord fabric is incredibly soft & velvety & should keep you warm without looking like you are wearing something too outdoorsy when you come inside, in other words you can wear it comfortably all day. Again, there is a wonderful selection of Liberty prints & hopefully something for everyone to choose from.

I also offer this style in some very pretty 100% silk prints, a shiny 100% silk satin, a lustrous 100% silk dupion. These silks are beautiful colours and will supply you with some much needed luxury and comfort when you most need it whilst undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer or you are suffering from alopecia or any other female medical hair loss issues. I have a range of 100% cotton checks and 100% cotton floral embroidered fabrics giving you a hint of the feminine but in a practical solid colour. Many of my clients have lived in these under a straw hat as I mentioned earlier, a great summer look when a straw hat would be too scratchy & unsecure without a chemo headscarf underneath.

I also offer a 100% cashmere version to keep you warm in the winter months. I source the softest pashminas made from the finest A grade cashmere sourced from the Capra-Hircus goat & cut them up to make the most luxurious of chemotherapy headscarves on the market. I am told it is like having a hug on your head. They are also super light due to the fineness of the cashmere so again are light enough to wear indoors. Finally, I thought it would be nice to offer a service where you can supply me with your favourite scarf and I will turn it into the ultimate easy tie hair loss head scarf. If you have a scarf or piece of fabric you love the colours of or you feel comforted by it then maybe this is the way forward for you.
